He lies about his name and is accepted into his love's family. Would you believe that Annabel is the banker's daughter??? Story goes on as Agatha is locked in the safe. She is going to run out of air and die. Oh, but who will be able to save her?
This story is really about how a person can change - but how Jimmy - who wanted to change, has his past catch up with him. He starts robbing again. Love can change people. The irony in the story is that he is able to forget that he is a robber/burgler - due to the love of Annabel. But, remember that she is the banker's daughter and this puts Jimmy right where he can rob again.

In conclusion, we can all come to the same theme. Throughout the story, the Duvitches were desperate to find their place in the story. At first the Duvitch family is not accepted, but as time goes on they become popular. The kids make friends, and the family becomes loved. After everything that happens we can conclude to never judge a book by its cover.
