How do you answer Tell me about a time you worked with a difficult person?

Answers

Answer 1

I remember very clearly a science experiment on surface tension that we had. The experiment was to get as many drops of water as possible to stick to the penny without surface tension breaking. Although we were not necessarily paired with anyone for groups, I had to do my experiment while sitting next to another kid in our assigned seat. We'll call my desk mate Jacque, although that's too fanciful a name for someone as plain and bland as he. I digress. Basically, Jacque hated me. I have no idea, seeing how awesome I am, but, nonetheless, perhaps out of jealousy, he disliked me. After I had allowed myself a few brief practices, I started in earnest. I heard classmates calling out atrociously high numbers, and immediately grew suspicious of their honesty, but focused still on the penny in front of me. I had just passed 50 droplets when Jacque reached over and flicked the ample droplet I had built. "Oops..." He said in a voice that told me it was not an accident. I shook my head and started again. I got up to fifty again. Like a bad case of deja vu, he again broke my bubble. This time I straightened up and stared into his dead, pallid eyes. "Look man, if you keep doing that, I'm gonna have to get Mr. V and let him handle this." Jacque apparently did not like this, because he pinched me in the stomach. I looked at him stoicly before calmly grabbing the teacher and explaining to him the situation. The teacher sent Jacque to the principal, and I remained unbothered for the rest of the lesson. I didn't beat another student's record of 181 droplets though.

Answers

The first author is describing the clock tower in a positive light, likely praising its construction and design as superior.

Which statement best represents the contrasting viewpoints of the two authors?

The second author, on the other hand, takes a more critical view and sees the clock tower as having defects or shortcomings in its engineering. This suggests that the two authors have differing opinions on the quality and value of the clock tower, with the first author seeing it as a positive achievement and the second author recognizing its flaws. It implies that the first author may have a more favorable attitude towards the clock tower, while the second author may be more skeptical or critical. The first author in this scenario has a positive perspective on the clock tower and sees it as a remarkable achievement in engineering. They likely appreciate the design, construction, and technical aspects of the tower. On the other hand, the second author has a more critical perspective and recognizes that the clock tower has defects or shortcomings. They may have concerns about the structural integrity or functionality of the tower.

Explanation: Without reliable sources to include into your argument, you will otherwise come up with a false conclusion, with unreliable evidence to back up your claim. Another thing about reliable websites is that while most websites that end in .gov or .edu are reliable, some of them will use those suffixes to mislead.
