Answer 1

Dear Reader,One of my favorite book series is the Divergent series by Veronica Roth. I love this book because it is science fiction, and includes lots of action, drama, and tragedy. There are four books in the series and there are three movies. One of my favorite things about the book is it shows character development and change. I also love the suspense in the movie/books and the climax always has you wanting to know the end. One of my favorite quotes is “Becoming fearless isn’t the point. That’s impossible. It’s learning how to control your fear, and how to be free from it.” I like this quote because it shows that every person isn't fearless and will always have a weak spot. Tris Prior, the main character, is a brave and selfless person, but towards the beginning of the book she doesn't quite know who she is, but throughout the book, she finds her identity and can become a stronger, braver person. The plot of the story takes place in future Chicago and is divided up into factions, Abnegation (selfless), Candor (honesty order), Amity (kindness, harmony), Dauntless (brave, fearless), and Erudite (smartness). Every year there is an event called the opening ceremony. This event allows anyone who is the age of 16, and every man and woman get to choose which faction they will live in for the rest of their life. They can choose the faction they were born into, or a different one, although it is most common to stay in their original faction. Tris Prior is born into Abnegation, the selfless faction, but chooses Dauntless because of her brave virtue. One special thing about Tris is that she is Divergent (very rare). As well as the government wanting to kill Diverents, this means that she doesn't belong to any of the factions and that she can control her mindset when others cannot, causing her to be in grave danger. As Tris starts in her new faction, Dauntless, things are a bit different than expected. Only a few people will live through the final stages, some will die and some will become factionless (living on the streets without a faction). Tris is forced to push herself every day to make the top cut so she won't become factionless. While balancing all of this, Tris is also forced to hide her identity as a Divergent so she can stay alive. In Dauntless there is ranking from best to worst based on physical & mental responses to challenges. At the end of each training the rankings will determine who is cut, meaning the lowest ranking indicates will become factionless or in other words, have to leave Dauntless and have nowhere to go and cant return home to their original faction. This was a new rule that was created by the government and wasn’t told before the initiates choose their faction. So no one who chose Dauntless was aware that if they failed they would be factionless forever. Tris starts to like one of the group leaders, Four. She hides her feelings for him at first, but eventually, they both start to like each other. Four and Tris discover that they are both Divergent, and they are forced to keep that hidden as well as their relationship from the rest of the faction. There are several training stages and many people are cut or removed from the Dauntless faction. In the first stage, it is all physical, so Tris is faced with many fights and has to work every day to become stronger than the rest to stay above the cut line. The second stage of training is all about mental, however, Tris has the advantage here because she is Divergent. In this stage, everyone is put into a serum where hypothetically they battle their worst fears. Tris knows that it is just a dream and not reality, whereas the others are not able to differentiate the difference between reality and when they are facing their fears. Tris is in 1rst place during this stage because she can escape her fearscape in the least amount of time. However, during this stage which tests your mental strength, many of the Dauntless in training [- yk;begins to get jealous of Tris. Some of them get frightened that she is such a weak girl but can beat them in rankings for the mental training stage and even try to kill her while Four was there to save her.

There are sites such as Wattpad and DeviantArt that allow artists to show off what they do. Explanation:

Is bias a reason to dimiss someone’s argument ?

Answers

Positive belief bias refers to the tendency to accept more plausible conclusions. As a result, when arguments and conclusions coincide with people's prior ideas, the positive belief bias encourages them to embrace logically defective arguments and incorrect conclusions.

They're skewed, hence they're incorrect!" That is a logical fallacy. (It's known as the bias fallacy.)

One would be arguing ad hominem if they focused on someone's character rather than their argument. So we don't need to break down the overall category of logical error into subcategories to see why the conclusion doesn't always follow from those assertions.

In most circumstances, bias cannot logically invalidate an argument. Bias, on the other hand, can undermine trustworthiness.

In practice, we don't have unlimited resources to evaluate every allegation, so we rely on credibility, which is frequently influenced by prejudice. For example, both the New York Times and Breitbart are prejudiced, but Breitbart is significantly more biased and hence less reliable from a practical standpoint (and of course, they are less credible for other reasons as well).

Due to its prejudice, an overtly biased pro or against marijuana website is unlikely to be a reliable source of marijuana information.

While we cannot logically dismiss an argument because it is biased, excellent critical thinking skills sometimes require us to dismiss a biased source as lacking in trustworthy information, or at the very least to treat it with extra suspicion and seek confirmation from an impartial source.

What kind of story I could write about “locked door” ?

Answers

Answer:

You could write about a story where a person wakes up bleeding in a completely white, locked room. There's a key that opens the locked door out of the room, but every time he inserts the key into the lock, his mind is reset. The boy gets back to where he started: waking up bleeding in a completely white, locked room. He has to figure out a way to escape the building without unlocking that only door, and he only has a week left before he dies.

In my family we have a tradition of going to church on Easter Sunday and I wanted to continue the tradition but my parents didn't want me to go because they said it would be too cold outside. Even though I went against what they had told me to do in order to keep up with our traditions, I knew that I had to make sure we kept our traditions alive no matter how the weather was. By doing so, I felt like I made my parents proud and that they were happy that I had decided to go out and stand for what I believed in instead of just following along with everyone else.

I know that there are other people who may say that their parents are always right, and I understand where they're coming from. However, I feel like I have learned many things throughout my life and one thing that has stuck with me is that I can only live my own life by making my own decisions and choices.

[1]I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
[5]Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
[10]Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
[15]A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
[20]In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Othello is referred to as “the Moor” nearly sixty times in the play, but is called by his name only about twenty times. What might the effects of this labeling be on a person?

Answers

The other characters in the play frequently "otherize" Othello, starting in Act 1, Scene 1 with Roderigo and Iago. They won't call him by name; instead, they refer to him as "the Moor," an allusion to his Middle Eastern ancestry, or just "him."

What type of character is Othello?

Othello, an outsider who is intelligent and confident in military matters but hesitant in social situations, is an outsider. He has a difficult life that alternates between joy and dread. He differs from people around him because of his upbringing and experiences, but he also shares their moral values, feeling of allegiance to Venice, and religious convictions.

Although Othello is frequently referred to as the play's protagonist, the "hero" role doesn't necessarily fit him in the story. He portrays himself as being more simpler than his life actually is.

Othello is a clever, brave, self-assured, and physically strong general and soldier. Sadly, he is also a racial outsider, unhappy with his Moorish origin, emotionally unstable, and ignorant.

Thus, The other characters in the play frequently "otherize" Othello.
