Because of the uproar around Nike's support, people were filming themselves cutting, burning, and destroying their Nike apparel.
This is typical white supremacy: white America attempting to dominate society and devalue persons and concerns associated with races other than their own, particularly African Americans.
In general, I feel the issue surrounding Kaepernick stems only from white racism and white privilege. White America can not understand what it is like to live in a culture where their race has been oppressed, violated, attacked, and discriminated against for hundreds and hundreds of years.
