Should I agree or disagree with the declaration of the rights of man liberty #4

Answers

Answer 1

So this is more of an opinionated question rather than a question another individual besides yourself can answer.

What I would do is look at Liberty #4 and see if that is something I agree with and if goes against my personal views or not. That is your best bet.

To sum article #4 up,  Liberty consists in being able to do anything that does not harm others: thus, the exercise of the natural rights of every man has no bounds other than those that ensure to the other members of society the enjoyment of these same rights. These bounds may be determined only by Law.

Personally, I agree with this. Because if you break a law nowadays, you will end up hurting the receiving party one way or another.

For example, stealing. If you steal from someone, you are not only breaking a law but you are hurting the business of the person you stole from.

Debt slavery, indentured servitude, peonage, or other types of forced labour may be found all across the world and throughout history, but the distinctions between them can be difficult to draw. Debt slavery, also known as debt servitude, debt bondage, and debt peonage, is a condition of indebtedness to landowners or commercial employers that limits producer autonomy while providing capital owners with cheap labor. According to a 1994 investigation on Burmese prostitutes in Thailand, enforced indebtedness is prevalent for females pushed into prostitution, particularly those carried across the border.

They are compelled to work off their debt, typically at 100% interest, as well as pay for their housing, food, and other necessities. After the American Civil War as well as the abolition of slavery, many African Americans and also some whites inside the rural South made a living by renting small plots of land from large landowners, most of whom were white, and pledging a percentage of their crops to a landowners at harvest—a system known as sharecropping.
